Casket of the Body of the Unkown Soldier of World War I

Here for your perusal is an original photograph of America’s highest dignitaries of state, army and navy stand at salute while the casket containing the body of the unknown soldiers is borne to the casson sic taking it from the Navy Yard to the Capitol. In the group are General Pershing, Gen. Lejeune, commander of the Marine Corps, Gen. Harbord and others. It was created in between 1918 and 1922.
