Here for your browsing pleasure is a grand photo ofKill Devil Hill, where the first gliding experiments were conducted by the Wright brothers in 1900; Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Orville Wright, accompanied by his brother Lorin, his nephew Horace, and his friend Alexander Ogilvie, of England, arrived for the purpose of conducting gliding experiments with a glider resembling the 1911 powered machine but lacking its motor. It was made in 1911.

The photo documents Wright, Wilbur, 1867-1912. Wright, Orville, 1871-1948. Hills.
