First Wright Flight of 1905

First Wright Brothers Flight of 1905

Here we present a dramatic image of Start First Flight 1905 Orville. It was taken in 1905.

The image shows Start of the first flight of 1905, Orville Wright at controls of the machine, near the hangar at Huffman Prairie. The two figures in the center are probably Wilbur Wright and Charles E. Taylor. The catapult launching device appears for the first time in a photograph.

We have created this collection of images primarily to serve as an easy to access educational tool. Contact curator@old-picture.com.
