Here we present a rare image of "Phantom Ridge," Black Hills, Dakota Territory. It was taken in 1890 by Grabill, John C. H., photographer.

The image shows Shows horse-drawn coach making its way down a dry riverbed, surrounded by steep ridges and rock formations.
