Indian who Murdered Lieutenant Casey

 

You are looking at an artistic picture of Tasunka, the Indian that Murdered Lieuenant Casey, near Pine Ridge, S.D.. It was created in 1891 by Grabill, John C. H., photographer.

The picture presents Plenty Horses, Oglala man, full-length portrait, facing front, with a blanket wrapped around him, standing next to a cannon--probably on or near Pine Ridge Reservation.
