Here for your consideration is an artistic picture of Honorable Edwin Stanton. It was created between 1855 and 1865.

Stanton served under Abraham Lincoln as the Secretary of War during the Civil War. Stanton was one of several people at Lincoln's Bedside at his death. Upon Abraham Lincoln's Death, Edwin Stanton said, "Now he belongs to the ages," and lamented, "There lies the most perfect ruler of men the world has ever seen."
