Here we present a rare image of Chaiwa, a Tewa Indian Child. It was taken in 1906 by Edward S. Curtis.

The image shows Chaiwa, a Tewa Indian girl, in a head-and-shoulders portrait, facing front. This is a beautiful child and a remarkable photograph. Notice the girl's unique hairstyle.
