Indian with Tomahawk

An Indian Standing and Holding his Tomahawk

Here for your perusal is a one-of-a-kind photograph of Holds Enemy, a Crow Indian Brave. It was created in 1908 by Edward S. Curtis.

The photograph illustrates this Crow (Apsaroke) man in a half-length portrait, standing, and facing front. He is wearing several shell necklaces, and a beaded pouch about his waist. Best of all, he is holding an imposing tomahawk.

We have compiled this collection of photographs mainly to serve as a valuable educational resource. Contact curator@old-picture.com.
