Crow Indians Making an Oath

Here for your enjoyment is an inspiring photograph of a Crow Indian Oath. It was made in 1908 by Edward S. Curtis.

The photo illustrates Three Crow (Apsaroke) men gazing towards the sky, with two of them holding Winchester rifles> One of the Indians has an object skewered on his arrow, with the arrow pointed skyward. There is a bison skull sitting at their feet.

We have compiled this collection of photos mainly to serve as a vital educational resource. Contact curator@old-picture.com.
