Indian Inscription on a Rock

 

Here for your browsing pleasure is an interesting photo of Ontildeate's Indians Inscription. It was made in 1927 by Edward S. Curtis.

The illustration documents an Inscription Rock, with a message written in Spanish by Juan de Ontilde;te as he was passing through what is now New Mexico in April 1606.
