Indian Blanket Weaver

Indian Blanket Weaver

Here we present a stunning image of an Indian Blanket Weaver. It was taken in 1905 by Edward S. Curtis.

The image shows a Woman weaving a blanket under a cottonwood tree, with canyon wall forming background. This illustrates the Navaho tradition of making blankets on a crude lume.

We have created this collection of images primarily to serve as an easy to access educational tool. Contact curator@old-picture.com.
