Here for your consideration is an old picture of Captain Samuel Hamilton Walker, half-length portrait, facing slightly right. It was created in 1846.

The photograph presents Texas Ranger. Captain Walker was a famous Ranger, Indian Fighter and Soldier. The famous "Colt Walker" was designed by Samuel Colt after a discussion with Captain Walker. Walker described what he considered would be the perfect fighting revolver, and it was then designed by Sam Colt, who put Captain Walker's name on it.
