Here for your perusal is an impressive photo of Balaklava harbour, the cattle pier. It was created between 1855 and 1865 by Fenton, Roger, 1819-1869.

The illustration documents A building next to which is a pile of baskets and a holding pen with horses at the landing place on the cattle pier with ship at dock in Balaklava harbor, also view of the landscape of the hills in the background.
