Here we present a rare image of Charleston, S.C. Palmetto reinforcements on the channel side of Fort Sumter. It was taken in 1865.

The image shows the Federal Navy, and seaborne expeditions against the Atlantic Coast of the Confederacy, specifically of Charleston, S.C., 1863-1865.
