Here for your consideration is a sad photo of A Dead rebel soldier, barefooted, killed by a shell, which tore his side out The entrails are protruding from his side. This view was taken in the trenches before Petersburgh [sic], Virginia,April 2d, 1865, and shows a foot passage half way up the side. It was made in 1865.
