Here for your consideration is a pleasing picture of Charleston Harbor, S.C. 24-pdr. howitzer on deck of U.S.S. Pawnee. It was created between 1860 and 1865.

The photograph presents the Federal Navy, and seaborne expeditions against the Atlantic Coast of the Confederacy -- the Federal Navy, 1861-1865.
