Here for your enjoyment is an absorbing photograph of Brandy Station, Virginia; Captain James M. Robertson and staff, 1st Brigade, Horse Artillery. It was made in 1864.

The photo illustrates main eastern theater of the war, winter quarters at Brandy Station, December 1863-April 1864. Shows uniformed African Americans in back of white officers.
