Here we present a rare image of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Confederate dead at the edge of the Rose woods, July 5, 1863. It was taken in 1863 by Gardner, Alexander, 1821-1882.

The image shows eastern theater of the war, Gettysburg, June-July, 1863.
