Slave Family on a South Carolina Plantation

 

Here we present a dramatic image of Beaufort, South Carolina. Negro family representing several generations. All born on the plantation of J.J. Smith. Freedom for the slaves is coming soon. It was taken in 1862 by O'Sullivan, Timothy H., 1840-1882.

The image shows United States.
