Petersburg Virginia During the Civil War

 

You are looking at an educational picture of Petersburg, Virginia Mills on the Appomattox River near Campbell's Bridge. It was taken in 1865 by O'Sullivan, Timothy H., 1840-1882.

The picture presents the main eastern theater of war, the siege of Petersburg, June 1864-April 1865.
