Here we present a dramatic image of Charleston, S.C. Meeting Street, near Broad; St. Michael's Church in middle distance. It was taken in 1865.

The image shows the Federal Navy, and seaborne expeditions against the Atlantic Coast of the Confederacy, specifically of Charleston, S.C., 1863-1865.
