Above we show a vital photo of Surgical photograph ... prepared under the supervision of ... War Department, Surgeon General's Office, Army Medical Museum. It was made between 1861 and 1865.

The illustration documents two amputees displaying the wounds recieved during the Civil War and a skull , one image showing a bullet hole and the other image showing the shattered section of the face where the bullet exited.
