Capitol Flag Flown at Half Staff

Mourning te Death of Lincoln

 

Here for your perusal is a one-of-a-kind photograph of Washington, D.C. Spectators at side of the Capitol, which is hung with crepe and has flag at half-mast. Nation is mourning the Assassination and Death of President Abraham Lincoln. It was created in 1865 by Brady, Mathew B., 1823 (ca.)-1896.

The photograph illustrates Washington, 1862-1865, the grand review of the Army, May, 1865.
